I previously posted a glowing review about this office, however, they completed two root canals on me, and both failed and needed another RCT or a flap surgery (both required an endodontist). My mom and sister are both dental Hygienists in Ohio, and I swear they were going to fall out of their chair when I told them I had both RCT's done at this office.
Based upon what they said (25+ years of knowledge and working with dentists, endodontists, and periodontists), no dentist should EVER perform a root canal, this should be referred out to a specialist (unless your dentist just so happens to be a practicing endo). The fact that both treatments I had done had to be redone is proof enough to me. Too often to be an accident.
I stopped going here and began to visit my sisters practice in West Chester (much further away) just so I know I'm getting the most accurate information from someone who is looking out for me.
I just had a root canal retreat on the last RCT I had done at this office in 2017 (yes less than two years later I had to have it redone) and the endodontist I went to was voted the best endodontists in Cincinnati a few years ago. I was ASTONISHED at the difference in equipment used (this office in union did not utilize a camera/magnifying equipment to see the tooth, more specifically the roots, when performing the procedure, as well as other material to make my experience much more comforting). My endo stated that there was a 4th root channel that was missed.
Very frustrating experience given how great my in-office experiences were. Wanted to be transparent on here so everyone is aware. They were great with cavities and what not, but be VERY weary when it comes to special procedures that should be cared for by an Endodontist. No one wants to pay double for a procedure that should be done right the first time.
